Elite Dynasty League Week 10 Recap

Week 10 Recap

Week 10 recaps! Graphics by Josh, but guest writer of Mike Balducci this week. So if you don’t like it, take it up with him.

Stat of the Week: 3. Just 3 weeks left for teams to try and make the playoff push. There are still technically 10 teams that can make it but only 8 spots.

Week 10 Match Up Summaries

Zaylor Swift (7-2) vs The Mad Chadder (4-4)

Josh v Eric.jpg

Zaylor Swift wins 106.82 – 81.32!

Summary:

It doesn’t take much to beat Spooky Garoppolo and Zaylor Swift proved that with a measily 106.82 win. Not really much to talk about folks. Ginn soup liquefied into a hot puddly mess only putting up 1.18 points but Spooky Garoppolo said hold my beer as Njoku only manages to get .8 points. With this “victory” Zaylor Swifts team extends their winning streak to 5 games and most likely barring unforeseen circumstances will see himself in the playoffs.
You would think Mike “RB2” Tolbert would be enough to get Spooky Garappolo the easy win but you’re surely mistaken. Instead the owner gave into his inner demons earlier this week and traded away his top fantasy asset in Kenyan Drake setting up for another colossal failure. What seems like a virtual lock for punishment at this point, Spooky Garappolo moves onto next week where he faces #1 contender Footsteps Falco which should be another close contest.

Stacks Don’t Lie  (4-5) vs Brunch Wit Da Funch (3-6)

Ducc v Rob

Stacks Don’t Lie wins 173.08 – 141.90!

Summary:

Stacks Don’t Lie led by Adam “hooked on a” Theilen busts out to reach .500 and keep his playoff hopes alive. In what was the 3rd highest score of the year (173.08), everything seemed to go right with every offensive player outperforming their projection with the exception of Antonio Brown. Huh? Sexy Rexy Burkhead was the biggest suprise dropping 16.80 fantasy points in what could possibly be the puzzle piece Stacks Don’t Lie has been searching for with injury prone Ty Montgomery and slow cook stew underproducing. Scores like these are what the finals runner up will need if he wants any chance at
making the playoffs in race that will most certainly come down to the wire.
Despite another loss, Brunch Wit Da Funch came out with some fight dropping a zesty 141.90. You would think trading a stud running back like Mark Ingram (who put up a season high 33.2 fantasy points) would hamper any chances of winning but suprisingly this was not the case. Devin Funchess lived up to his teams namesake lighting it up for 23.7 fantasy points as well as having strong efforts from guys like Tevin Coleman, who will certainly see more opportunity if starter Devonta Freeman misses time with a
concussion. In what seems like a lost year, Brunch Wit Da Funch can hold his head high knowing he would’ve beaten every team but 1 (A Gurley has no Name) this week but unfortunetly, thats fantasy susyn.

Agent Lee (6-3) vs F a Podcast (6-3)

 Fam v Itzler

Agent Lee wins 121.82 – 114.94!

Summary:

This matchup came down to MNF where the kingslayer finally met his match at the hands of da gawd himself, Smokin’ J. Agent Lee pulled no punches as AJ Green came out swinging with 21 points along with Juju “on that beat” Smith-Schuster with 19.7. Unfortunately it looks like he’ll be without Devonta Freeman next week who left the game with a concussion making this score closer than it probably should’ve been. With 4 wins in a row and Mike Evans coming back from suspension, it’ll be hard seeing
Mixon Administration push him around.

It was an unfortunate week for Marvin Jones Jr. to come back down to earth in such an important game like this. The funny thing is F a Podcast only missed his projection by .02 points so can he really be that upset. Yes. Yes he can as this was his chance at a division lead tie with Black Breesus but instead the shoe is on the other foot staring at a 6-4 record. But thanks to Spooky Garappolo and a couple Green Bay running back injuries, F a Podcast finds himself in a great position for a playoff push with a remaining schedule that has a combined record of 10-20.

The Myth Of Kojac (3-6) vs A Gurley Has No Name (5-4)

 Kojac v Greg.jpg

A Gurley Has No Name wins 148.36 – 110.90!

Summary:

Don’t look now but A Gurley has no Name is making some noise despite almost hitting the panic button weeks ago. You would think both teams performed more or less to their projections making this outcome pretty cut and dry. But without team Gurleys saavy deadline trade for Mark Ingram who exploded this week (33.2), this score could’ve been much closer. Solid performances from Staff Daddy and the Todfather helped seal the deal as A Gurley has no Name looks foward with playoff aspirations in his sights.

Unfortunely for The Myth of Kojac, Cam Newton was on an island all by himself putting up what will perhaps be his best fantasy game of the year (39.26). Almost every player underachieved this week for Kojac, yes even RB8 Chris Thompson who was recently aquirred in a trade with Long n’ Skinny. The Myth of Kojac should find himself safe from punishment at 3 wins knowing he’ll probably face tough matchups the next 3 weeks with teams still pushing for a playoff spot.

Footsteps Falco (7-2) vs The Mad Chadder (4-5)

 Rogers v Chad.jpg

Footsteps Falco wins 141.14 – 123.10!

Summary:

You can just copy and paste the first sentence of Footsteps Falco last summary and it would still apply as they pull off their league high 6th win in a row. Believe it or not Laveon Bell was his biggest underachiever only putting up a feable 16.3 points. What a bum. Following a bye next week Footsteps will look to wrap up the division with wins over division rivals Stacks Don’t Lie and Zaylor Swift and secure the coveted round 1 bye.

With what seems like the final nail in the coffin, The Mad Chadder will need to run the table if he has any hopes of making the playoffs. Nonetheless with Kareem Hunt on a bye he looked to C.J Bunsise to pull his own weight. As his nickname suggests this was not the case as he not only put up a .06 but was also placed on IR the following week. Yikes. On the flipside Jared Goff has proven to be a productive fantasy quarterback this year with back to back 30+ point performances. With his season in the balance, The Mad Chadder will play in what could possibly be a win or go home game for both teams (Stacks Don’t
Lie).

Mixon Administration (5-4) vs Black Breesus (6-3)

 Weyer v Add.jpg

Black Breesus wins 101.26 – 97.20!

Summary:

Looking to outdo last weeks Toilet Bowl, both teams wasted no time in defecating all over themselves. Black Breesus set out to prove his season hasn’t just been a fluke by putting up a whopping 101.26 and solidifying himself atop the NFC division. Sarcasm aside, Alvin Kamara continues to be one of the best picks in the Elite Dynasty 17′ draft and his decision to bench Demarco Murray over Adrian Peterson didn’t prove to be disastrous as Luke Kuechlys big MNF game managed to save the day. For his sake he better hope this result was just an outlier with playoffs coming right around the corner.

What a swing this was. A swing and a miss that is. The Mixon Adminstration suffers a devastating loss that could end up having serious playoff implications. An injury to Aaron Jones and ejection of Vontaze Burfict were less than ideal as no players really stepped up to the plate in their absense especially in MNF where both Carolina defense and Devante Parker just couldn’t get it done. It’ll be do or die the rest of the way for him as Agent Lee goes for the killshot next week.

Team Triforce (2-7) vs Long n’ Skinny 😉 (4-5)

 Trainor v Rigg.jpg

Long n’ Skinny 😉 wins 111.10 – 92.84!

Summary:

Team Triforce finally has a functional quarterback…AND IT’S GONE! You’d think rostering 5 quarterbacks would yield some kind of return but no the ghost of Deshaun Watson still lingers and will continue to haunt them until the end of time. Too bad he can’t stick his kicker Young GZ at QB who believe it or not is ranked 39 overall now! Greg the Legs wasted potential aside, this team’s packing it in more than the Giants and if he’s not too careful can find himself in last thinking about what outfit he’s wearing.

Don’t look now but Long n’ Skinny finds himself at 5-5 and a possible dark horse playoff contender. Of course i’d only say that if Robert Woods continues to have games like he had this week dropping a dominating 34.1 points. Other than that his rookies (Fournette, Davis, Engram) will have to go super saiyan over the next 3 weeks to fill the void left by recently traded Chris “RB8” Thompson if he has any chance against top competitors like Black Breesus and Agent Lee. Looks like Long n’ Skinny will have a “long shot” at making the playoffs! HAHAHAHAHAHA…..I hate my life.

Week 11 starts tonight!
