Elite Dynasty League Week 7 Recap

Week 7 Recap

Week 7 of the season has come and gone. It feels like we are saying it every week, but this was the closest week yet. Three match ups changing winner in the 4th quarter of MNF and another one having a chance. Lets see how it broke down for everyone.

Stat of the Week: 31.4%. 35.40 points. That’s what Matt Kojac got out of his TE and Kicker on MNF to grab the last minute win by 1.56 points over Stacks Don’t Lie.

Week 7 Match Up Summaries

Zaylor Swift (4-2) vs Brunch Wit Da Funch (2-4)

Josh v Rob

Zaylor Swift wins 140.40 – 132.50!

Summary:

Zekeeeeeeeeeeeee! Forty Four points! Zaylor Swift’s star running back went nuts over the poor 49ers defense and put up a league high for a RB. It was a good thing too, since his WRs had a rough week and he left yet another Cooper Kupp TD on his bench. Combine this with his late stat change victory over Stacks Don’t Lie yesterday and this team is looking good at 5-2 tied for the division lead. Playoffs are starting to look like a real possibility.

Despite a strong push from Zach Ertz and Wendell Smallwood on MNF, it was not enough for Brunch Wit Da Funch to grab the victory. The Rams D put up a shocking 17 points in the London game but the rest of his team was just too inconsistent. Mark Ingram is looking like a top 5 RB now, especially now that AP is out of New Orleans. He left some points on the bench and if he doesn’t start getting some wins soon, playoffs might be out of the picture.

Spooky Garoppolo  (1-5) vs Agent Lee (3-3)

Eric v Fam

Agent Lee wins 115.98 – 85.60!

Summary:

Lucky for Spooky Garoppolo this wasn’t the low score of the week. But that really isn’t saying much. He wasn’t even projected 100, but failing to score 90 is pretty disgraceful. But then I don’t know what you can expect when you are starting a gunner who plays special teams both ways in your RB position. To add the salt on the wound, he doesn’t own any of his own picks for the next year either.

For once, luck was on Agent Lee’s side. He gets a bum win with 115.98 points and we can think of this as karma for all the losses he has taken with the second and third highest score of the week. It was really nice to see brand new quarterback Alex Smith come in and put up a strong performance with 30.28. He is up for a very important match up next week to try and get within 1 game of the division lead.

The Myth Of Kojac (1-5) vs Stacks Don’t Lie (3-3)

 kojac v Ducc

The Myth Of Kojac wins 112.82 – 111.26!

Summary:

Back to Back! Don’t let The Myth Of Kojac get hot folks. This makes it two in a row with an absolute monster of a comeback on Monday night. Jordan Reed scored 2 TDs and Jake Elliot put in work as he was able to catch Stacks Don’t lie and his disappointing performance. Being 2-5 may not seem like anything to cheer about, but this win has HUGE implications for last place. The week 9 showdown with Spooky Garoppolo may very well determine last place for the league.

Not good. Not good at all. Stacks Don’t Lie puts up another disappointing performance and questions are definitely arising about this time. It was thought to be a contender coming into the season, but injuries and down years have combined for a rough season so far. It’s extra devastating when combined with the loss from a stat change last week. If Ty Montgomery has really lost his role to Aaron Jones in the GB offense, things are not looking good.

F a Podcast (3-3) vs A Gurley Has No Name (4-2)

 Itzler v Greg.png

F a Podcast wins 137.72 – 129.58!

Summary:

The Kingslayer! Down goes another contender. It seems as if Andrew Itzler is actually able to give F a Podcast actual pump up speeches before big games because he always shows up against his rivals and naysayers. With his wins coming against top teams and his losses to bottom teams, this season just makes no logical sense for this team. It also helps to have MVP frontrunner Carson Wentz on your team.

What an awful loss and freaky gameday for A Gurley Has No Name. His QB goes down with a broken arm. His running back is suspended for running onto the field and shoving a ref. It hurts even more to lose when you have a WR drop almost 40 points. He also has a very important string up match ups coming up against Agent Lee and Mixon Administration, but the Lamar Miller trade is looking better and is even more important for him now.

Footsteps Falco (4-2) vs The Mad Chadder (4-2)

 Rogers v Chad.png

Footsteps Falco wins 154.10 – 147.34!

Summary:

Footsteps Falco puts in work. There’s not much else to say besides the fact that he is a solid team, definite title contender (possible favorite), oh and he could get last years #1 fantasy player back before the season is over. However, it can’t be denied that he always seems to have some fantasy voodoo up his sleeve. His IDP dropped an improbable 18.50 to help secure the victory on Monday. And that wasn’t even with a defensive TD.

Another rough loss for The Mad Chadder. Loses by less than 10 points yet again. Every loss this team has had was less than 10 points and with a very respectable score as well. Rookie Kareem Hunt has come back to earth which could be part of the reason but no one wants to loss when they get 20 points from their team defense. However, I think it is time to give up on Martavius Bryant. Dropping an awful 1.10 point, it seems his spot has got to go if this team wants to make a push for the title.

Mixon Administration (3-3) vs Long n’ Skinny (3-3)

 Weyer v Rigg.png

Mixon Administration wins 135.32 – 110.30!

Summary:

Great bounce back game for Mixon Administration. The team may be even more encouraged with how they scored their points. Aaron Jones looks to be the lead back in GB and put in a outstanding 24 points and noted asshole Vontaze Burflict contributed 16 for a strong IDP score. Even more encouraging the team was able to put up a good score with star running back Melvin Gordon only having 6.70 points. This team still seems to be a piece or two away from a championship, but it can definitely make a strong playoff run with some luck.

The first and second pick in the draft can’t help when they are both injured. That was the case for Long n’ Skinny 😉 this week as both Leonard Fournette and Corey Davis were both out. This team is still rebuilding so the loss isn’t devastating in any way. In fact, the way things are looking this team could end up with the first four picks of next year’s draft and be a true contender. But will it work out that way? No one knows. Can’t argue the outlook being bright.

Team Triforce (2-4) vs Black Breesus (5-1)

 Tiz v Add.png

Black Breesus wins 150.44 – 69.86!

Summary:

Black Breesus wins again. Great performance. Scoring 150 is always giving yourself a solid chance to win. Lesean McCoy looked the best he has all season…. but lets be honest thats not the story here.

Absolutely disgusting. Shameful. There should be a punishment for an effort this piss poor. Team Triforce failed to reach 70 points this week. SEVENTY. His kicker was the only reason he even reached 60. It was awful watching this in real time as his opponents score kept going up and his just…. didn’t. Tiz needs to just feel bad about himself. How did you get here. What decisions went wrong? This score just makes everyone else feel better about their effort this week. Just a gross week.*

*And now I’ll probably lose to him this week after typing up.
