Elite Dynasty League Week 9 Recap

Week 9 Recap

Week 9 is over, or is it??? With Monday Night Football deciding the fate of four different matchups, many team owners were watching anxiously. With a new record for smallest margin of victory, stat corrections could still swipe away a victory until Thursday. There was an unexpected Toilet Bowl match up and a new division leader. Let’s take a look at the matchups.

Stat of the Week: 58.34 points. The other season high set for margin of victory as the battle for last place turned into a bloodbath as Myth Of Kojac dominated Spooky Garoppolo.

Week 7 Match Up Summaries

Zaylor Swift (6-2) vs The Mad Chadder (4-4)

Josh v Chad

Zaylor Swift wins 147.74 – 98.44!

Summary:

After a last minute gut punch with Pierre Garcon heading to the IR, it opened up a vulnerable WR spot for Zaylor Swift. But name sake Zay Jones stepped into the lineup for his first career start and scored his first TD to put the team up on Thursday night, and it was smooth sailing from then on. Jones would have had an even bigger night if it weren’t for scumbag Buster Skrine tripping him and causing him to hyper extend his knee. Playoffs look like they are locked in but it will be hard for the team to capture the division championship, especially with these injuries.

This was a rough one for The Mad Chadder. Kareem Hunt put up a career low, Cameron Brate looked lost with Winston out, and the flex partnership of Washington and Hooper only put up a combined 7.4 points. It’s a rough year for the team but a huge improvement on last year and if he wins out, he has a great shot at playoffs. If he does make it, he always has a chance to put up a league high score.

Spooky Garoppolo  (1-7) vs The Myth Of Kojac (2-6)

Eric v Kojac

The Myth Of Kojac wins 130.28 – 71.94!

Summary:

Just pathetic. 71.94 total points. But this is what we have come to expect out of Spooky Garoppolo these days. If you didn’t know better (and he actually owned any of his own picks) you would think this team is tanking. Losing to Kojac basically locks Eric into last place and it looks like punishment is a certainty. Catching Team Triforce and winning the tiebreaker looks like the only way out now.

Statement win for The Myth Of Kojac. That statement is “I won’t be last place!”, but it is still a statement. You can say it’s never a good thing when your IDP is the highest overachiever, but that’s not true for this performance. Kojac put up a solid 130.28 points with his team basically hitting their projections all around. Von Miller’s 13 was just icing on the cake though, as he had this match up won by Sunday afternoon.

Agent Lee (5-3) vs Stacks Don’t Lie (4-4)

 Nick v Ducc.jpg

Agent Lee wins 104.42 – 96.22!

Summary:

****TOILET BOWL*****

Ew. This match up is gross. We’ve had worse scores but somehow this just seems like the worst match up we’ve had to witness. I’m don’t even want to give each team their own paragraph because they don’t deserve it, but I am committed to the job. Agent Lee felt the backlash of owning a bunch of thugs as both his starting WRs got into fights with AJ Green getting ejected and Mike Evans getting a suspension for Week 10. Add that to the RB duo of CJ Anderson and Doug Martin getting a combined 3.70 and I am nauseous looking at this lineup. Could this be possible locker room effects of Josh Gordon being back?? I’ll let you be the judge.

Ahem. Stacks Don’t Lie….. FIGURE YOUR SHIT OUT! Somehow, preseason title contender puts up another awful score. Now I can admit that this team was hurt badly by byes this week, but come on. J Stew put up a negative score (with no injury). I think he needs to be cut right away. Can’t have that. Robbie Anderson led the team in scoring, and I’m not saying that in a positive manner. Leaving Jay Ajayi on the bench gave away the W. This team will need a quick turn around and winning streak to make playoffs.

F a Podcast (5-3) vs Black Breesus (6-2)

 Itzler v Add

F a Podcast wins 143.76 – 143.72!

Summary:

The Lannisters send their regards! The Kingslayer takes him down again! F a Podcast has found some way to give his team pep talks for big match ups. That’s the only way to explain this season. Just continuously beating the top teams and then losing to the bottom half of the league. This was a true rivalry match and somehow Marvin Jones Jr heard the call and stepped up HUGE on Monday night to take the victory by .04. That’s ONE PASSING YARD. Absolutely absurd. Now he prays to the stat change gods. (Oh and also cut Blair Walsh)

I wouldn’t be surprised if Black Breesus is sending a bomb to Itzler’s doorstep as we speak. Setting a margin for smallest defeat in league history while losing last second on Monday Night Football to a bitter rival. Not sure how much worse it can get. Lesean McCoy needs to go take about 100 laps for dropping a putrid 3.70 and putting his owner in this situation.

Footsteps Falco (6-2) vs Brunch Wit Da Funch (4-4)

 rodgers v rob.jpg

Footsteps Falco wins 142.96 – 112.94!

Summary:

Footsteps Falco gets another W and extends the leagues largest winning steak. TY Hilton absolutely went off. Scoring two long touchdowns and putting up a league high 34 points. It’s no surprise this is the defending champ when you realize this team also had the #1 fantasy player in David Johnson last year. The team looks to end the year strong and secure that #1 seed for playoffs.

This was not a good performance from Brunch Wit Da Funch. Zach Ertz being hurt was massive but it looks like QB is yet again an issue for this team as Andy Dalton only put up 7.61 points and looked miserable. If only this team had traded for a good QB, they might actually be in playoff contention. But it looks bleak as the team has very few picks and will have to get lucky on some waiver/FA pick ups or it could spend multiple years at the bottom half of the league.

Mixon Administration (5-3) vs Long n’ Skinny (3-5)

 weyer v rigg

Long n’ Skinny 😉 wins 120.98 – 96.72!

Summary:

Mixon Administration did his best to nominate himself for most inconsistent team in the league. Even worse than that, this week gave some future indicators that don’t look great. Aaron Jones couldn’t hold on to the ball and may have lost some of the playing time he had earned. Marlon Mack still doesn’t look to have a true role in Indy’s offense and Alex Collins could see himself continue to lose timeshare as Danny Woodhead and Terrance West return to the Ravens. He has a solid record, but he’ll need to improve to secure a playoff spot.

No Fournette, no problem. Long n’ Skinny ;) had his star player suspended for team violations (apparently he’s afraid of pictures) but was still able to take this one home handily. Terrance ‘T15’ Williams put in a career day and Russel Wilson continued to put in a string of top QB performances. With his picks next year, this team looks to be a top contender for the 2019 title.

Team Triforce (2-4) vs Black Breesus (5-1)

 tiz v muller

A Gurley Has No Name wins 148.54 – 144.82!

Summary:

This one stings for Team Triforce. He looked to be in great position going into the Sunday night game. Then Marshawn Lynch dropped a huge game, but luckily Jared Cook came up huge as well, keeping him with a solid lead…. I’ll leave the rest for the next paragraph. I just want to say, if you’re reading this Tiz…… I’m proud of you! Starting a QB who scored double digits! Look how you’ve grown! (Side note, he only started Tyrod because the 4 QBs he rostered were all not starting or on bye, but whatever)

Staff Daddy! Great comeback A Gurley Has No Name to keep him in solid playoff position. Marshawn Lynch turned in a great game as mentioned above but it was all about Daddy going off on Monday Night Football. With a basically meaningless touchdown in the 4th quarter, it gave Muller the lead for the first time all weekend. He had been trailing since Thursday night, but that doesn’t matter now as the final score reads as a 3.72 point victory.

That’s all folks! Until next week……….
